He said he could search engine optimize my website for $24 a month. I figured he had to be either joking or lying. Nobody does SEO for that cheap. SEO costs thousands of dollars.
He just smiled and said he has a proprietary online system that you just sign up and start search engine optimizing your website in just a few minutes a day for $24 a month. Still skeptical, I asked him if anyone I ever heard of is using it to promote their website.
He asked if I’d ever heard of John Jantsch, the author of Duct Tape Marketing. I said of course. I’ve read his book and I read his blog. John Jantsch uses it. I said prove it. So he emailed me this quote from John about his SEO tool:

All right, all right, I told him. I surrender. I’ve gotta have this super-affordable miracle of modern search engine optimization. Especially since I’m a total newbie to this whole Internet Marketing and SEO thing. I’m a web designer, not an SEO geek.
